Over the past few weeks, visually impaired people were joined by friends in a series of singing workshops - and these were workshops with a difference. The leader was our dear friend, Tania Williams, but a substantial part of the imput came from students based at Canterbury Christ Church University.

Members of RBBG, Chris P, Hans F and Norman W, were quick to put our names down to join up, without realizing that there would be much more than just singing ... The students brought in a variety of activities, including breathing exercises, thinking games, acting opportunities and many other fun ways of preparing ourselves for performance - and not just singing.

It was good to see other friends taking part, as well as new friends from outside the Medway towns. The course was held at the St George's Centre, which is opposite the Historic Chatham Dockyard (and it used to be the chapel for people working at the dockyard). The centre is a tremendous place, perfect for the work we were taking on and especially as it has such superb accoustics.
