Eleven of the RBBG group had a very good day out, visiting Penshurst House Gardens.

The day started with Pat and Jean getting a very good deal for our entrance fee, £5.40-a-head instead of £9.80, which everyone was delighted with.

Coffee was next, before our tour of the House. The stewards and guides were very helpful, answering questions to the full. Penshurst House is a very interesting building with lots to take in, which was enjoyed, by all. There was plenty of time for lunch, where there was quite a good menu, so no one went hungry!

Having been fed and watered, it was time to make our way back to the coach, for our journey home. Malcolm, our charming driver, got us home, safe and sound.

Yes, it was a very good day - no complaints – and well worth the trip.
