FINAL: Chris P v Maurice W – September 4th, 2017

The morning was overcast with the grass damp and slightly longer than normal when Chris and Maurice started their final.

Maurice won the toss and put up a medium length jack, but it was Chris that found the length first and took three shots on the first end. The second end had a short jack and Chris was holding one shot at 9” from the jack when Maurice drew inside the holding wood to win the end.

Another medium length jack saw Maurice holding at 12” from the jack when the table was turned from the previous end and Chris drew in for shot with his last wood. Maurice took two shots on the next end and then put up long jacks and took six shots from the next two ends to be leading 9 shots to 4, after six ends.

Medium length jacks were delivered over the next three ends. On each end Chris drew close to the jack, but it was never close enough and Maurice won all three ends to lead 13 shots to 4, after nine ends, when Chris conceded the game.

Well done to both bowlers, with congratulations to winner, Maurice.
